Best of February, a round-up of February recipes and happenings at Simply Sissom.
Welcome to the BEST OF FEBRUARY where we officially say, HELLO March (a.k.a Spring!!!!!). First, let’s recap all the delicious things that we made and the cool things that have been happening around Simply Sissom in the last month.
Let’s get started with what I made in the kitchen in February. SPOILEr, the past month was all about freezable batch-prep friendly recipes (i.e. breakfast sandwiches, quick dinners and simple ingredients).
- Cranberry Brussel Slaw // 2. How to Batch Prep Freezable Breakfast Sandwiches // 3. Healthy Chicken Salad // 4. Almond Butter and Blueberry Cookies // 5. Homemade Vanilla Cupcakes // 6. Spinach Kale Rotini Bake

- So, after MONTHS of working up the nerve, I finally gave FB live a shot. It was scary and awkward and WAY out of my comfort zone, buuuuut.. I got a lot of positive feedback (thank you for that). Sooo, from now on, Thursdays around 1:15 look for me to pop on to FB to share 1 or 2 simple real food recipes. I don’t post these videos to the blog or YouTUBE so if you don’t want to miss it, make sure you Follow Simply Sissom on Facebook. If you didn’t catch the first 2 .. you can find them by scrolling down my Facebook page. (NOTE.. you can get a downloadable PDF of the recipes I share by clicking on the link I provide in the description of each video!!)
I’m going to level with you, gray Winter weather has got me longing for Spring time! I’m craving fresh veggies, salads, and recipes that don’t require a spoon. Going into March you can expect a couple of special Easter oriented recipes and lots of light fresh lunch and dinner options!
