August has officially come to a close. We are settling in to a routine that pretty much includes school + soccer. This is the first year that my boys have participated in travel soccer and friends... it keeps you busy! That said, I am loving my role as "that mom" cheering from the sidelines. Who knew I could be so passionate about sports, lol!
Fall is my hands down favorite season and it's basically here (never-mind the fact that it's still 90 degrees out most afternoons). Pumpkin spice latte's are available, so that's pretty much all I need to know. I will be kicking off September with a fabulous recipe for Pumpkin/Cheesecake Swirl Muffins and I. Cannot. Wait. (<-- hence busting out the pumpkin recipe September 1).
That said, before we officially welcome September, we should probably give August it's due respect. Let's take a look back at all the recipes and posts from Simply Sissom in August!

August brought "back-to-school" AND back to my regular posting schedule. You guys, I'm not going to lie.. I have REALLY enjoyed getting back into the kitchen. I focused on quick dinners, grab n' go breakfasts and healthy snacks. All the things you need for a successful back to school!
