Well, hi friends! We have officially entered the dead of Winter. Yep, it officially feels like January 94th.

Buuuut, we're moving into February which brings us 1 month closer to March, which is basically Spring.. right?

January was a busy month in the kitchen. I guess when it's freezing and the kids go school, well.. NEVER, we cook to pass the time. I've got 8 brand new recipes and all of them have the same theme which is, "How little effort can I put into meals without anybody noticing?"

These recipes are ones that you will go back to over and over (and nobody will complain). They have short pantry-based ingredient lists, are make-ahead friendly and some can even be doubled and frozen. Don't miss out on the Whole Food Sloppy Joes, they are a Sissom family favorite!

I also released new VIDEOS from Simply Sissom:

Facebook LIVES returned!! We've been struggling with our after-school snack situation. Somewhere during my pregnancy when I was really sick, the boys started having cereal daily. Their portions are huge, the cereal is too sugary and a couple weeks ago I put a stop to it. I filled new snack boxes with healthy options and THEY. LOVE. IT. In the LIVE I walk you through exactly what I purchased and offer tips for finding real food snacks (that are store-bought) your kids will actually eat. You can check it out here.

One Cool January find that I should share with you is my new obsession with the Instagram Account Life In Jeneral. Like everyone else in America I've jumped on Marie Kondo's purging train and this account is everything that my color-coding, container-loving dreams are made of. They did a cool challenge in January (it's saved to their highlights) that walks you through decluttering your house in 30 days. I lasted about 6...🤷🏻‍♀️.
