Description

Learn how to turn white chocolate into spooky edible ghost cupcake toppers. Start with your favorite chocolate cupcake recipe, whip up some buttercream frosting and then follow the directions and video to transform your cupcakes into a Spooky Ghost themed treat.

Ingredients:

  • 10 prepared chocolate cupcakes - you can use homemade or boxed
  • 1 15.6 ounce container of Pillsbury Funfetti Frosting - slime green, midnight black, bold purple and aqua blue
  • 4 ounces white melting chocolates
  • 20 small candy eyeballs
  • 10 black confetti sprinkles

Equipment:

    • 1 silicone mat or wax paper
    • spoon
    • 1 piping bag - 18" recommended
    • 1M decorating tip

Instructions

For the Ghost Cupcake Toppers:

  1. Line a baking sheet with a silicone mat or wax paper. Microwave melting chocolates according to package directions.
  2. Drop spoonfuls of melted white chocolate onto prepared sheet. Use the spoon to spread the chocolate into the shape of a ghost.
  3. Carefully place 2 candy eyeballs and 1 confetti sprinkle onto warm chocolate to form eyes and a mouth. Allow toppers to cool completely before carefully removing from silicone mat.

For Decorating Cupcakes:

  1. Put a 1M decorating tip into the piping bag, and fill it with the frosting of your choice.
  2. Hold piping bag straight up with the tip just above the surface of the cupcake. Start at the center of the cupcake and pipe a swirl towards the outer edge. Gradually release pressure on the bag, letting the frosting taper at the edge.

  3. Position the hardened ghost cupcake topper into the center of the cupcake.
